World Athletics is a globally renowned organisation which serves as the international governing body for the sport of athletics, covering track and field, cross country running, road running, racewalking, mountain running, and ultra running. Their reputation precedes them, and it was evident that their eLearning needed to be able to live up to very high standards and meet the expectations of all those who become Learners as part of the programme.
E-learning Platform
eLearning is anything that allows people to learn through technology. And as technology is evolving, everyone can get involved. You may be wondering how you can contribute to the world athletics platform or eLearning in your sports community. The answer is simple; through making content available, that is both adapted to your audience and adapted to clear learning objectives that suit the community.
The vision of World Athletics is to establish a single source of truth and information for the Worldwide Athletics community. The idea is to grow the sport through knowledge, coaching, nurturing and training. Their Vision goes beyond this too, as the idea is to go beyond an eLearning platform or an online experience, to actually building culture and community through education.

Interactivity is the key to unlocking your Learners’ potential, providing them with gamification and quizzes and other means to explore their own learning in an intuitive way. Some examples of the interactive learning process include multiple-choice to aid in recall and cementing detailed facts such as dates, matching definitions to words to solidify the Learner’s memorising and interlinking of the concepts, interactive timelines to visually support recall, and so on!
